This activity table can be made in one weekend. And you do not need a lot of woodworking skills to be able to make this nice kids table. Can be stained or painted to fit the decor of the room it will go in. This will work gear with the Storage Bench or the Kids Chair

To make the legs you will need to cut
4 pc 24″ long and 2 1/2″ wide 3/4″ thick
4 pc 24″ long and 1 3/4″ wide 3/4″ thick
Then cut angels on all 8 pieces. You can cut any angle you want. We measured 1 inch over then 2 inches up. Marked a line then cut them as shown in picture. After all the cutting is finished  add glue to the edge of the small boards and clamp them together.
You should have 4 legs that are 2 1/2″ wide on both sides.

You will need to cut  and drill for pocket screws.
2 pc  36 ‘ long and 3″ wide and 3/4″ thick
2 pc  26″ long and 3″ wide and 3/4″ thick
After the lengths then drill pocket holes. 2 at each end of all 4 pieces and on the top of the longer aprons. You need to drill 5 pocket holes and on the short apron. Drill 4 pocket screw holes as shown in the picture.  The holes at each end will attach to the legs. And the holes at the top will attach the table top.

When attaching the aprons to the legs. Add glue to the edge of the ends of the aprons. Then use 1 1/2″ pocket screws and attach aprons to the legs. Tip sometimes it is better to hold the pieces in place with clamps then shoot the screws. The screws will sometimes separate the two pieces when shooting them. Make sure the pocket holes on the edge are to the top of the frame.

The activity table frame should look like the picture. If you want more support then add a brace in the middle not shown.

To make the top you will measure both length and width. Then add the amount of over hang you want to have on each side. We have no over hang on the long sides and one inch  over hang on the short side. We drilled pocket holes and added glue to the edge to attach the boards together. Then cut to fit the frame.

The pocket holes are drilled in the apron. All you need to do is place the top in its location. On the top on the frame and clamp together. If you wish you can add glue to the top of the apron to give a little more strength. Once finished sand the edges so they are not to sharp. Now you are ready to add your paint or stain of your choose.
